Eric Swalwell didn’t show up to vote in DC this week — or to a housing forum in California
SAN FRANCISCO — Where’s Swaldo? Not in Congress. Eric Swalwell racked up more absences this week, skipping votes on March 17, 18 and 19 — including a key vote to gut due process protections that would allow deportations without convictions — proving once again that showing up for work is optional in his version of public service, even as he made time for TV appearances.
“Swalwell wasn’t at work this week,” Steyer for Governor spokesperson Danni Wang said. “He wasn’t meeting constituents. So where was he? A red carpet? A side hustle? Anywhere but doing the job taxpayers pay him to do.”
The disappearing act didn’t stop there. Swalwell also failed to show up for a housing forum in Sacramento yesterday, dodging an opportunity to speak to Californians about how he’ll tackle the top issue putting economic strain on working families.
