Tom Steyer on MS NOW: “Do You Want Change in California?”
In final days, Steyer contrasts his vision for change with Becerra’s corporate-backed campaign
As corporate interests including Chevron, PG&E, Meta, Uber, and Airbnb spend record amounts against his campaign, Steyer explained why Californians should see this race as a simple choice between a corporate Democrat and himself.

- “This election is coming from confusion into clarity, and it's basically down to three people. There is a hard right Republican who's been endorsed by Donald Trump, which is Steve Hilton. There is a corporate Democrat who's taken lots of money from Chevron, from Meta, from Uber, that is Xavier Becerra, who is basically the status quo candidate–if you don't want change, he's the person. And there's the progressive candidate who wants to take on the corporate special interests, who wants to change things, who wants to drive down costs for working Californians, and that's me.”
Steyer also spoke about the special interests spending tens of millions to defeat him so they can continue to rip off working Californians.
- “Look, I'm the only billionaire on the ballot, but I am very far from the only billionaire in this race. The billionaires and the corporations have lined up against me, and they're supporting everybody but me. In particular, they're supporting Xavier Becerra…..So, in this race, it's coming down to: do you want change in California? Do you want to take on the electric monopolies and the oil companies who are gouging you at the pump? Do you want single payer health care? I say yes.”
