CALIFORNIA — Democratic gubernatorial candidate and climate advocate Tom Steyer embarks on the eighth leg of his “A California You Can Afford” bus tour this week. He will travel to Oakland, Fairfield, Sacramento, and Davis.
The schedule (subject to change) is as follows:
Thursday, May 28 – East Bay
- Stop Big Oil Press Conference in Oakland
- “Build Affordable Homes” Rally with United Brotherhood of Carpenters in Fairfield
Friday, May 29 – Sacramento and Davis
- “Tax the Rich” Rally with SEIU 2015 in West Sacramento
- “Lowering Costs for Future Californians” UC Davis Mix and Mingle

Steyer will hear from voters, connect with community groups, and participate in local events up and down the state to continue to learn about issues facing Californians and share how, as governor, he will lower costs, break up the power of corporations and monopolies, and fight back against the Trump administration. The bus tour has already made stops in Santa Ana, Redwood City, San Jose, Jurupa Valley, South LA, San Diego, Ventura, San Luis Obispo, Lemoore, Fresno, Firebaugh, Santa Cruz and many more communities across the state.
