NEW AD: Tom Steyer Blasts Trump for Ripping Off Californians with ICE Spending
SAN FRANCISCO — Today, Tom Steyer’s gubernatorial campaign released a new ad blasting the Trump administration’s reckless use of California taxpayer dollars to fund U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and worsen an already crippling affordability crisis. Steyer has a record of standing up to Trump and his policies since 2017, when he launched a campaign to impeach Donald Trump, and 8 million Americans joined the call.

The ad follows Steyer’s calls to abolish ICE and compares the violent actions of agents to those of a criminal organization. Rather than delivering on the basics like food stamps and lowering the cost of the ACA for people, the Trump Administration has used more than $85 billion of taxpayer dollars to fund ICE agents to target and terrorize Latino and immigrant communities. If elected Governor, Steyer has promised that California is going to continue to lead the resistance to Trump.
