More Than 600 Pack Santa Rosa Town Hall with Ro Khanna, Jared Huffman, and Tom Steyer
Rep. Huffman: Becerra not the person to fight back against Donald Trump
Steyer calls out Becerra for failing to name one thing he would change about California in CNN interview this week
SANTA ROSA— With less than a week until Election Day, more than 600 people packed a Santa Rosa town hall featuring Congressman Ro Khanna, Congressman Jared Huffman, and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Tom Steyer — a clear sign of momentum heading into the final stretch of the campaign. While Xavier Becerra screens questions at town halls, Steyer spoke directly with voters for over an hour.

In his opening remarks, Steyer called out Becerra for failing to identify one thing he would change in California, in a CNN interview this week.
Khanna and Huffman echoed Steyer’s call for new leadership in Sacramento.
“The last thing we need right now is to keep recycling the same leaders and the same politics,” Khanna said. “I’m tired of a Democratic Party that too often falls back on the old guard instead of meeting this moment with new energy and urgency. This is a time that demands bold leadership — not business as usual. That’s why I’m here supporting Tom Steyer.”
“I’m backing Tom Steyer — not someone I know well, not someone I’ve served with, someone who’s a decent guy — but maybe not the person to fight back against Donald Trump the way this moment demands,” Huffman said, referring to Becerra. “And definitely not the person to break out of the establishment mold and challenge the stranglehold special interests have had over Sacramento for far too long… I want a governor who’s willing to push back against all of that — someone fearless, independent, and completely unconcerned with establishment politics.”
