“Work” highlights Swalwell’s disqualifying record in Congress, including his inability to show up to work
SAN FRANCISCO — Today, the Steyer for Governor campaign released a new ad, “Work,” laying bare Eric Swalwell’s record: missing votes; skipping out on key decisions on war, health care and protecting immigrant children; and failing to do the bare minimum that his constituents sent him to Washington to do — show up.

“With voters beginning to focus on the governor’s race, they deserve a clear picture of every candidate’s record and who will show up for them,” Steyer for Governor campaign spokesperson Anthony York said. “Eric Swalwell has consistently failed to do the job he was elected to, and now he’s asking voters to promote him. That’s not leadership.”
Below is a transcript for “Work”

Eric Swalwell: I should be working right now.
Narrator: Eric Swalwell — he’s not working for California. He’s barely working at all.
Since announcing his run for Governor, Swalwell has missed nearly 70 percent of votes. Instead of doing the job he was elected to do, Swalwell has instead prioritized attending a premiere for HBO’s White Lotus and peddling an AI business side hustle. His pledge to protect California and our immigrant communities from the Trump administration rings hollow — during this administration’s escalation of ICE raids and deportations across California, Eric Swalwell voted to thank ICE.
