CASE Cites Commitment to Public Sector Attorneys and Workplace Fairness for Endorsement
SAN FRANCISCO – Today, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Tom Steyer won the endorsement of California Attorneys in State Employment (CASE). CASE represents over 5,000 legal professionals in Bargaining Unit 2. Its members ensure the California Dream by fighting for access to affordable health care, enforcing civil rights, protecting public safety, promoting workplace safety, and more.
“CASE is proud to endorse Tom Steyer for Governor. Tom understands that the attorneys, administrative law judges, and hearing officers who serve California are on the frontlines of protecting democracy, delivering justice, and making our state work — and that they deserve a government that treats them as partners,” said Talene Ghazarian, President of CASE. “Our next Governor must stand with us as we fight for wage parity, protect our members’ ability to telework, and deliver a strong contract in 2028. Tom Steyer is that Governor, and we look forward to working with him to build a California that works for all its people — including the public servants who make it run.”
“Justice is a foundational value that defines California as a safe haven for people from every background and every walk of life,” Steyer said. “I am honored to receive the endorsement of CASE, which represents public servants who safeguard the rights of all Californians. I stand shoulder to shoulder with them in their fight for wage parity and working conditions that meet their needs and those of the Californians they serve every day.”
CASE joins a long list of unions, grassroots organizers, and elected officials who stand with Steyer. See the full list of endorsers here.
