SAN FRANCISCO – Democratic gubernatorial candidate and climate advocate Tom Steyer received the endorsement of Assemblymember Dawn Addis, Chair of Budget Subcommittee No. 1 on Health and member of the Budget, Education, Health, and Insurance standing committees. Since being elected to the state legislature, Addis has secured millions in state funding for local projects and passed key legislation on healthcare, environmental protection, consumer rights, and public safety.
“California needs leaders who listen to communities, protect our environment, and deliver real results for working families,” Addis said. “Tom Steyer’s leadership on climate action and environmental protection reflects the kind of bold, values-driven approach our state needs. I’m proud to endorse him for governor because I know he will bring people together, focus on practical solutions, and fight to ensure every Californian has the opportunity to thrive.”
“California’s future depends on leaders who deliver for our communities,” said Steyer. “Assemblymember Dawn Addis’s career reflects a deep commitment to public service, and fighting for the dignity of every family she serves. She has been a strong advocate for working families, and I look forward to partnering with her as governor to lower costs and deliver lasting progress for people across California.”
Assemblymember Dawn Addis joins a long list of elected officials, unions, environmental justice groups, and grassroots organizers, who stand with Steyer. See the full list of endorsers here.
