Steyer Releases Slate of Climate Champions

(San Francisco, CA, August 13) Climate activist, NextGen America founder, and former presidential candidate Tom Steyer released a first slate of candidates up and down the ballot committed to tackling our climate crisis. Since ending his presidential campaign Steyer has organized and mobilized supporters and donors for Vice President Biden and Senator Harris, federal candidates, and candidates for state and local office across the country who have distinguished themselves with strong commitments to take urgent climate action and fight climate injustice. Steyer said this about his endorsements:

“We have an incredibly small window to act and change the course of our drastically changing climate. It’s going to require a shared vision, commitment, and prioritization of climate change from the White House to state houses across the country. We know climate is a motivating issue at the ballot box, and so it’s important for candidates to know that they are being elected on a climate justice mandate. When elected, these leaders will help turn the tide of climate inaction by fighting for a future that is more just, equitable, and green.”

For these candidates, Tom is committed to sending emails, holding fundraisers, and highlighting their candidacies for voters, organizations, and donors across the country.
